Littoral Communications held Littoral Seafarers Mental Health and Wellbeing India 2022 Seminar in Mumbai

Mumbai: On September 24th, Littoral Communications held a seminar, Littoral Seafarers Mental Health and Wellbeing India, 2022. It was the fifth seminar that Littoral Communications conducted this year. It took place at The Lalit, Mumbai.

An important barrier to seafarers seeking, offering, or receiving interventions and professional care after a traumatic event or acute stress is the stigma associated with mental health care. Because they believe themselves to be strong, seafarers may hide their emotional pain out of fear of appearing weak. To enlighten the people regarding the same, discuss the hardships of the seafarers, and come up with a reasonable solution this seminar was held.

The welcome address was given by Capt. Prashant Saxena. The four renowned speakers of the seminar were Amri Saxena, Founder/Director at Charmight; Deepti Mankad Consultant, Wellness Coach; Lavina Kripalani, Advocate, High Court; Dr. Amol More, Sailors Medical Clinic.

The seminar was moderated by Captain D K Singh and the vote of thanks was given by Raja Vaiz,  Chairman of Littoral Communications. He thanked the speakers for their knowledgeable and sensitive approach to the topic and also the sponsors WISTA,  Capt.
