Littoral Communications presented Littoral Maritime Awards 2022, in Mumbai

Littoral Communications conducted its first award function Littoral Maritime Awards 2022 at Taj Lands’ End, Mumbai on 19th October 2022. This was Littoral Communications 7th event of the year.

The chief guest of the evening was Mr. Deepak Shetty, I.R.S. (Retd.) Former Secretary to the Government of India, Director General of Shipping.

The event was inaugurated by lighting of the lamp, done by Deepak Shetty, Raja Vaiz, Sanjam Gupta, Deepam Rastogi and Dr. Anand Raj.

Following the lamp lighting, the welcome speech was given by Captain Raj Kumar, Deputy Director at NAMAC, followed by the award ceremony.

The Littoral Maritime Awardees were chosen by the eminent people from shipping industry. The five-member jury panel included Cmd. (R) Sulakshan Sharma, Capt. Raj Kumar, Capt. D.K Singh, Kannan Rajarathnam, Capt. Siddharth Sharma and Mahendra Kalantri.

V. O. Chidambaranar Port Trust won the Best Emerging Port of the year award, JM Baxi & Co. was awarded the ship agent of year – Cruise followed by Mizzen Marine, which was awarded in the category The Ship Building Company of the Year.

The award in Diversity & Equalities category was presented to Sanjam Sahi Gupta, Kushhbo Singh was bestowed with the Women star of the year award, Deepam Rastogi was honored with the Education & Training Award and Lavina Kripalani was presented with the Marine Lawyer of the year Award.

Dr. Deepti Mankard was honored with the best mariner wellness trainer and counselor of the year award, followed by Shradha Ghole in the best people expert of the year category, Monica Damania, Saurabh Sinha and Ram Keshari were presented with the Personality of the year, Young person of the year and The Emerging Ship Management Company of the year award respectively.

After the award ceremony, Chief Guest Shri. Deepak Shetty I.R.S. (Retd.) Former Secretary to the Government of India, Director General of Shipping gave a speech, followed by a brief introduction to Dharohar by Jaasritha a brand child of Ms. Shreelekha Anuraj, which was trailed by an exhibition by Finesse Art of Presentation by Indra Mohan Prasad.

As the evening was concluded as Raja Vaiz, Chairman of Littoral Communications gave the vote of thanks. He congratulated the awardees and for making this event a successful one he thanked the speakers and sponsors L &T Shipbuilding, V. O. Chidambaranar Port Trust, Mizzen Marine Pvt. Ltd., JM Baxi & Co., WISTA, Renuka Forwarding and Pvt. Ltd., Finesse Art of Presentation by Indra Mohan, Dharohar by Jaasritha Ms. Shreelekha Anuraj and Worl Ships Management Pvt. Ltd. The event was moderated by Bhairavi Mamania.

In the upcoming December, Littoral Communications is also organizing the UAE Shipping Summit 2022 in Dubai, UAE.
