Vietnamese Prime Minister Visits India to Strengthen Strategic and Economic Relations

Vietnamese Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh arrived in Delhi on Tuesday night on a three-day visit that is aimed at further expanding the comprehensive strategic ties between the two countries on the agenda seems to be a deepening of ties in defence and economy.
During his address at the Vietnam-India Business Forum, organized by Ficci, Chinh emphasized the goal of increasing bilateral trade to $20 billion. He urged Indian businesses to invest more in Vietnam, particularly in strategic infrastructure sectors such as transportation, energy, digital, and climate infrastructure.
Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi highlighted the significant progress in India-Vietnam relations over the past decade. “We have adopted a new plan of action to further strengthen our comprehensive strategic cooperation,” Modi said in his media statement with Chinh. He noted that extensive talks covered all aspects of mutual cooperation, and steps have been initiated to enhance future collaboration.
