The residential cruise ship Villa Vie Odyssey has successfully passed sea trials after a four-month delay for maintenance and inspection at Harland & Wolff, Belfast. Initially scheduled to depart in May, the vessel faced extended work due to stricter requirements from its class society, according to Villa Vie’s managing director, Mike Petterson.
Villa Vie Odyssey, a 1993-built vessel, offers long-term residential cruises with cabins starting at $99,999 for a 15-year lease. Despite delays, passengers are now preparing for the ship’s departure, which could happen as soon as Wednesday.
