Pirates Hijack Tugboat Crew in Indonesia, Steal Cargo and Equipment

Indonesia,
A crew of 14 aboard the tugboat *Royal TB 17* was overpowered and robbed by a group of masked, armed pirates near Tanjung Malatayur, Indonesia. The pirates, in a small boat, hijacked the vessel on September 20 as it sailed from Bagendang Port towards Stagen, Kalimantan. They stole over $1,000 in cash, mobile phones, communication devices, and the cargo of Fatty Acid Methyl Ester (FAME).

Local police are investigating the incident, while the crew, now safe, is receiving medical attention. Authorities are working to track down the perpetrators amid growing concerns over piracy in the region.
